IT'S COMMON TO WONDER:

  • We are different in a lot of ways.

Our role in the Wichita community is to help women confidently navigate unplanned pregnancy through free pregnancy confirmation services, peer counseling, resources, and education.

More importantly, our relationship doesn't have to end after one appointment. We believe women deserve support before, during, and after pregnancy. That's why we offer ongoing resources for all options, like parenting classes, baby supplies, community referrals, and post-abortion support.

As a community-funded nonprofit, our priority is to support you, not to profit from your decision.

We're here to provide honest information, practical resources, and a community of women who are ready to walk alongside you for as long as you need us.

  • We care about you and respect the difficult situation you are facing. However, we don’t provide abortion medication or birth control, nor perform any surgical procedures.

What you can find here are the answers and pregnancy health services that many women seek before abortion at no cost.

We also offer free C.A.R.E. Kits for those taking the Abortion Pill.

Our goal is for you to walk away with the clarity you need to navigate the journey ahead in peace.
  • Before an abortion, an ultrasound can answer two important questions:

    How far along am I?
Gestational age can affect your options and what to expect.

    Is the pregnancy progressing?
Not every pregnancy develops normally. An ultrasound can identify concerns that may require emergency medical care.

At Emper Rising, we offer free ultrasounds at your pre-abortion assessment appointment and will help you get scheduled asap so waiting isn't a barrier.

If you're seeking a pre-abortion assessment, please let us know when scheduling your appointment. That will help us personalize the appointment.

  • Not every abortion provider has the same medical credentials, experience, or approach to patient care. Before moving forward, it's okay to pause and ask questions so you understand exactly what to expect.

Some of the most important questions include:

    • Does your doctor have admitting rights to your local hospital in case of complications?
    • Who will be providing my care, and what are their medical qualifications?
    • What should you do if the abortion fails or the doctor fails to remove all fetal tissue?

During your appointment, we'll walk through a more comprehensive list of questions you may want to ask.

  • The timeline for a pregnancy decision can depend on how far along you are and what type of care you’re considering.

Many women find it helpful to first confirm details like pregnancy dating, since that can affect what options are available and when.

You remain in control of both the timing and the outcome of your decision.
